Every year, the LPA celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month through our #YoSoy Campaign—created to celebrate our rich diversity, culture, and contributions to the Greater Madison area. This year, our theme is Yo Soy El Cambio. Because we know a better tomorrow doesn’t exist if we don’t advocate and step up to change and challenge the systems that have never worked for us, or included us, this year our campaign focuses on the much-needed cambios that are taking place throughout our community. But we know we can’t change systems alone, we need you to let your voice be heard because you are el cambio.
Then, on Thursday, September 29th, meet us at Working Draft Brewery after work, where at 5:30pm we’ll release our collaboration beer with them, Conexiones Hazy LPA (Latino Pale Ale). While, admittedly, we were out of our element when it came to knowing which flavors go well together (the tajin was quickly discarded), we were made to feel included on our final maize haze flavor, which will be somewhere in the mid 5’s abv. Trust us, we’re just as curious as you are, but we promise it won’t taste like Corona (without the sal y limon, of course). We also will have a surprise special guest in attendance along with our 2022 Yo Soy Awardees! Food and music will compliment the night of celebration.
Above all, we would like to thank all of the staff at Working Draft Brewery, without whom this wouldn’t be possible. Everybody, every single one, from General Manager Cary on has been simply amazing. Their hospitality, welcoming attitude, and willingness to work with us has been awesome and incredible, and they deserve to be recognized. What better way than by paying them a visit!
