"Why Civic Engagement Matters: The Importance of Local Elections," happening Wednesday, November, 2nd, 12-1pm! The Latino Professionals Association is excited to welcome David A. Aguayo to speak to our members regarding the importance of civic engagement and local elections.
The LPA is making great strides to promote civic engagement as a non-partisan group and encourage it's members and our community as a whole to participate in local elections.
David Aguayo currently serves as the Head of Public Policy and Advocacy at Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. Prior to this role, Aguayo served as the Director of Latino Outreach in Wisconsin for the Biden for President campaign, leading the campaign’s efforts to secure a critical voting block in a crucial battleground state. A 2015 graduate of UW-Madison, he is also Latino Outreach Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. He interned with US Representative Mark Pocan and also previously served as executive assistant in the state’s Department of Workforce Development.
